REHA COLLECTION specializes in antique hand knotted Oriental rugs, flat woven tribal kilims, embroideries, bags and other ethnic textiles. We also carry Ottoman architectural artifacts; fine hand carved wooden doors, ceiling covers, wooden panels, dowry chests, and fine ceramic wares. These fine ethnographic Oriental rugs, kilims, and other weavings have been produced by nomads and villagers throughout the Middle East and central Asia for centuries. Traditional religious, talismanic or totemic designs, were passed from one generation to the next with each weaver creating subtle variations that reflected his/her own artistic personality. All of the rugs, tribal weavings, architectural artifacts have been gathered by Recep Dinli on his trips through the Middle East, primarily in Turkey’s Central Anatolia region.

Biography

Recep is from Kayseri, which is in the Cappadocia region in Central Turkey. It was one of the earlier Christian areas and still is the home of several thousand Armenians. It was a major stop on the Silk Road and the reason why it is the rug producing capital of Turkey. Virtually every home has a loom and rugs are produced by the women there. Recep was born into the business and is a third generation merchant. He's been working with rugs for 35 years, starting at the age of 6, working with his grand father in the bazaar, rolling, cleaning, and repairing under his tutelage.

Retail

REHA COLLECTION is in the heart of Istanbul, adjacent to the Blue Mosque, Spice Bazaar, and Grand Bazaar. Meeting many Americans and Europeans over the years at both his gallery and restaurant, inspired Recep to make the journey to the US bringing his beautiful wares to Los Angeles.

Staging

Our beautiful rugs and art will complement and enhance any home décor. We will work with you to select and install the rugs for your client’s use. These “loaner” rugs have helped realtors and stagers design attractive homes to best showcase their property.

Trunk Shows

Trunk shows and private viewings are available in your home or business. We will bring a selection of rugs and present them to your business personel, select customers or friends. These private events have taken place all over the country as we try to schedule two road trips a year. Check back for dates and cities near you and call for your private preview!
